  • The future of DE&I in the workplace and a dynamic panel discussion on relatable and common DE&I issue areas

As part of our CLE offering, we will also include a one-hour elimination of bias session.

Keynote Speaker: Ryan Bernsten

We are excited to have Ryan Bernsten join us and share his fascinating story about his 23,000-mile journey to every U.S. state as well as his hopeful vision for the future of our country. Throughout his journey, Ryan listened to the stories of everyday Americans to understand their political beliefs and saw first-hand the efforts being made to improve communities across the United States. Ryan chronicled his experiences in his 2023 narrative nonfiction book, 50 States of Mind: A Journey to Rediscover American Democracy. In his keynote presentation, Ryan will talk about his motivation for embarking on the 50-state trip, the complexities of American democracy, and the common bonds that connect us despite differing viewpoints.

Ryan received his master's degree from University of Oxford. He is an award-winning speaker, writer, and theatre-maker who has spoken and led workshops across the U.S. and internationally. Ryan currently serves on the Board of Directors for American Public Square. He makes his home in the Kansas City area.
