Regarding the current bankruptcy environment, she cited data showing a recent increase in Chapter 11 filings, including anticipated continued activity due to financial market uncertainties. “Epiq, who provides a lot of data on bankruptcy filings in connection with the American Bankruptcy Institute, just issued a press release this month saying Chapter 11 filings in 2024 were up 20% more than Chapter 11s in 2023.”
