Lathrop GPM Partner Emily Cantwell Receives Women's Justice Award for Litigation Practice
ST. LOUIS (May 14, 2024) — Lathrop GPM LLP is proud to announce that partner Emily Cantwell was recognized by Missouri Lawyers Media with a Women's Justice Award in the category of Litigation Practitioner. The annual awards program recognizes women who have made an impact on the Missouri legal community. Cantwell will receive this honor during the Women's Justice Award ceremony on May 16 at the Ameristar Casino & Resort.
Cantwell is a litigator whose practice focuses on business litigation, specifically in the areas of commercial, banking, and real estate litigation, loan enforcement, employment, title disputes, and mechanic's liens.
Cantwell was recognized as "Business Person of the Year" by the Clayton Chamber of Commerce in 2023 and as a Most Influential Business Woman by the St. Louis Business Journal in 2019. She is very active within Lathrop GPM and was named the Partner in Charge of the firm's St. Louis office in 2022. An active member of the St. Louis community, Cantwell also serves as a Board Member and Development Committee Chair with the Women's Foundation of Greater St. Louis.
The Women's Justice Awards recognize women across Missouri who have demonstrated leadership, integrity, service, sacrifice, and accomplishment in improving the quality of justice and exemplifying the highest ideals of the legal profession. The awards reach out to women in various segments of the legal community, including the bar, the bench, public office, business, academia, nonprofits, and the state at large.
