Lathrop GPM Senior Counsel Jerry Riffel Recognized with 2024 ICON Award
KANSAS CITY (June 13, 2024) — Lathrop GPM LLP is proud to announce that Senior Counsel Jerry D. Riffel has been recognized by Missouri Lawyers Media with a 2024 ICON Award.
ICON Awards are presented to members of the Missouri legal community aged 60 and older in recognition of their exemplary careers and longstanding commitment to the profession. Riffel received this honor during the ICON Awards luncheon on June 13.
Riffel is synonymous with real estate and development throughout Kansas City, handling some of the largest real estate deals in the region. As a Senior Counsel attorney at Lathrop GPM, he focuses his practice on real estate and development matters and has a broad background and experience in economic development incentives. Over the course of his career, he has been instrumental in the growth and improvement of downtown Kansas City and continues to counsel clients on large, economic projects in the city.
For the past seven years, the ICON Awards have annually honored attorneys and judges who have served the Missouri region with distinction. This year’s list of 25 honorees includes state and federal judges, founding partners, firm leaders, and long-serving practitioners at firms of all sizes. Whether active or retired, honorees must hold or have held a senior position with significant decision-making authority for their firm or organization.
